TEC 110
Proofreading Copyediting
Welcome to TEC 110
Instructor: Amber Richter

Welcome to TEC 110, Proofreading and General Copy Editing! If you want to learn basic skills for proofreading or copy editing, you've come to the right place. By using the links on the left, you will navigate (or move) through this course.
I will post any handouts on this site, usually as Adobe Acrobat PDFs. If you do not have Adobe Reader on your machine, you can download it for free by clicking the button below this paragraph. Because there is no textbook for this course, you will need to access the documents on this site.
This is the Home page. If you ever want to come back here while you are on another page on this site, simply click the Home link.
You may want to begin by reading a little about where each link will take you, or, if you feel uncertain about your computer skills, you may want to read a few basic hints about using computers. If you're ready to jump right in, the syllabus would be a good place to start.
If you want to explore the site a bit, click on any of the links on the left. If you start to feel lost, click the Home link to come back to this page.
Do you have any questions? You can post them to the class discussion or email me. (To send me an email, click the word "email" in the previous sentence. This should open your email application and my address should be in the To field. If not, you will need to open your email manually and enter my address into the To field. My email address is arichter@sccd.ctc.edu)
I will do what I can to make this a good experience for all of us!
