CHAPTER ELEVEN SUGGESTED SEMINAR DISCUSSION QUESTIONS

1. After reading the text, how concerned do you think a parent should be if his child scores 82 on an I.Q. test? How concerned would you be? Explain. Point to passages from the text to support your ideas.

2. Pretend you have a child with special needs. Where would you like to see your child placed in the school? What would you say if you were the teacher? What might you say if your were the child? (In other words, put yourself in the place of the parent, the teacher, and the child.) Point to passages from the text to support your ideas.
